Introduction

The Living Hope (“TLH”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation based in Herefordshire. The Living Hope is a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting individuals facing homelessness, addiction, and socio-economic challenges. Our mission includes offering emergency accommodation for individuals experiencing homelessness, guiding them towards health, support, accommodation, and independence. Additionally, we facilitate the transition from temporary to stable housing, focusing on independence through mentoring and advocacy.

We are a registered charity in England and Wales under registration number 1206681 that was registered on 23rd January 2024

 

Purpose of this privacy policy

This Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

 

Uses made of the information

We use information held about you in the following ways: to ensure that donor and donation information is kept and processed under IFRS reporting standards and HRMC and Charity Commission guidance. To enable us to work with partner organisations to provide a better quality of service to those who the charity supports.

 

Who does this Privacy Policy apply to?

This privacy notice applies to you if:

  • You visit our website
  • You contact The Living Hope by email or telephone
  • You make a donation
  • You fill in a Gift Aid declaration form
  • You volunteer for TLH
  • You receive support from TLH

 

Disclosure of the information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Living Hope, our clients, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, credit risk reduction, debt recovery and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations. We may also be required to transfer your data to our auditors for verification purposes. The Living Hope is in a Data Sharing Agreement with Project Brave agencies to support identification of, and joined up working with, people with multiple complex needs.

 

How long we keep your personal data

We will retain your Personal Data for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services and for a reasonable period thereafter to enable us to meet our contractual and legal obligations and to deal with complaints.

At the end of the retention period, your Personal Data will be securely deleted.

We take the following into account determining retention for Personal Data;

  • whether the Personal Data is still required for the purposes of the Charitable activities
  • whether we are retaining Personal Data for archiving or statistical purposes
  • relevant guidance from the Information Commissioners Office (ICO)
  • whether we have a legal or regulatory requirement to retain your Personal Data once your relationship with us has ended.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect Personal Data that we process from unauthorised disclosure, use, alteration, or destruction.
