Vikki Thomas
Co Founder & Trustee
I am Hereford born and bred, although I spent several years working internationally and traveling.
I have three main passions in life: food, people, and property. While I’m sure there are many more, these passions have guided my business and career, which includes being a trained chef, a Chartered Surveyor, and an international speaker, coach and mentor. I owned and operated my own residential and HMO property portfolio and ran business masterminds and networking events in London for many years—all with the goal of inspiring, supporting, and helping people grow.
Becoming a Christian later in life transformed my outlook. I realised that I was being equipped to serve God’s Kingdom. Co-founding and operating The Living Hope (TLH) now allows me to merge all of these skills to serve those who have fallen on hard times and need a helping hand. My God-given passion is to provide homes, feed those in need, and walk alongside them as they rebuild their lives.
Scott Wheatley
Trustee
Scott brings a wealth of experience and passion to The Living Hope through over 30 years of dedicated work in faith-based initiatives addressing homelessness and addiction.
He is a founding partner of the Exaireo Trust, an organisation committed to providing supported housing and meaningful employment opportunities for individuals facing homelessness.
Scott also plays a pivotal role at The Carpenter’s Arms, a Christian residential rehabilitation centre. Under his leadership, the centre has become a transformative environment where men can break free from homelessness and addiction, rebuild their lives, and experience lasting change rooted in faith.
With deep sector knowledge and strategic insight, Scott continues to be a vital voice in shaping innovative responses to homelessness and addiction. His guidance has been instrumental in helping others establish impactful projects across the UK.
Caroline Currie
Trustee
Caroline enjoyed a long and successful career in the insurance industry, bringing with her a wealth of experience in people and business management. Originally from Northern Ireland, Caroline and her husband, Trevor, became Christians in their teenage years.
Recently, God led them on an exciting new adventure, moving to Hereford to support their daughter and help care for their grandchildren. Caroline also volunteers at the church coffee shop and helps run the Alpha course. Her passions are God first, family second, and baking and gardening third.
For Caroline, The Living Hope represents another wonderful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Isaiah 61 is her life’s calling — proclaiming good news to the poor, binding up the broken-hearted, and bringing freedom to captives.
She is humbled to find this season of life both busy and challenging, yet exciting and fulfilling. Caroline believes with all her heart that God hasn’t finished with her yet.
