Special Projects & Development Lead (Paid Position)
Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible)
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Location: Hope Farm, The Living Hope properties and project locations across Herefordshire
Job Overview
The Living Hope is seeking an enthusiastic and practical Special Projects & Development Lead to help develop Hope Farm and lead a variety of practical projects that support our vision of restoring lives through safe housing, meaningful activity, and Christian community.
Working alongside residents, volunteers and the wider team, this varied role provides opportunities to mentor individuals through practical work, helping them develop confidence, routine, work skills and independence while supporting the ongoing development of Hope Farm and other community projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate practical projects and activities at Hope Farm.
Mentor and encourage residents through meaningful work and positive role modelling.
Support residents in developing practical skills, confidence and independence.
Promote safe working practices and assist with project risk assessments.
Work collaboratively with trustees, staff, volunteers and community partners.
Maintain simple project updates and daily handover notes using our CRM system or email.
Requirements
A committed practising Christian (Genuine Occupational Requirement applies).
Practical experience in construction, maintenance, gardening, landscaping, farming or similar environments is desirable.
Strong people skills with a heart for mentoring and encouraging others.
Full UK driving licence required.
Enhanced DBS check required.
Resident Support Role
(Volunteers required & part time paid opportunities are available)
Join us in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for our residents to ensure they receive the assistance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Resident Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents to promote a sense of community and belonging.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct initial assessments to identify residents’ individual support needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Progress Monitoring: Track residents’ progress on their action plans, providing encouragement and guidance to enhance their confidence and independence.
- Compliance Support: Assist residents in understanding and adhering to housing agreements, offering necessary support to navigate appointments and requirements.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those we serve, creating a nurturing environment that supports sustainable independent living.
